After a long full year without any releases from the MCU, Disney+ and Marvel bring us WandaVision. A truly wondrous yet unsettling story of everyone’s favorite super-powered couple. But how is this couple functioning after the tragic events of both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame? I think this series is going to tell us just that.

After watching and rewatching the first two episode I can’t help but marvel (pun intended) at the artistry put into this series thus far. The show immediately pulls you in, showing you just how happy of a couple Wanda and Vision truly are. It’s so charming to see these characters interacting in such a cute and comical way, and I’m glad we get to see them as such. However, it isn’t long before we start to see hints of the darker side of the story. Although the first two episode aren’t full of too much plot or your usual Marvel action, it’s still a solid start. We’re getting to see these character in a new way that couldn't have been possible for a film in the MCU. I think it’s really fun that we can explore this darker, more twisted side of Wanda’s mind and see just how much she has grown as a witch.

If we think of where these characters started in Age of Ultron, no one could have guessed that we would’ve ended up with them seemingly stuck in a TV sitcom. It’s so creative and fresh that you almost forget this is a Marvel production. If all of the other MCU/Disney+ series are like this one, I will be one satisfied fan. I know this is just the beginning of the series but, I think that’s why I am so excited. I can tell that WandaVision is just winding up. It’s easing us into this new way of Marvel storytelling before it really delivers us some crazy magical antics. I already can’t wait for next Friday, and I can’t wait to see where these characters go from here.

WandaVision is now available to stream on Disney+ with new episodes releasing every Friday.
